The Tender Things are an Austin, Texas ‘headneck’ country rock band that are sympathetic to the history of the kind of country groovers that the Texas capitol has known through the decades. Jesse Ebaugh formed the band in 2018 after leaving the Heartless Bastards, and has been following in the tradition of the Texas ‘Outlaw’ country artists, trying to find a unique voice that cuts against the grain of Texas country music.
The band is filled out by some seasoned players who work with the likes of Steve Earle, Nikki Lane, Asleep at the Wheel and more. Their new record, That Texas Touch was recorded with Gordy Quist of Band of Heathens in the late summer of 2021 and will be released on February 24, 2023.
