BRETT ORRISON / EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
Brett Orrison is a seasoned sound engineer, producer, and talent buyer with over 25 years in the music industry, specializing in FOH live sound mixing, studio mastering, and festival curation. His work has shaped modern music across genres—from rock and psychedelia to blues, jazz, zydeco, and brass band traditions.
Originally from Ocean Springs, Mississippi, Brett began his career in New Orleans, working as a house engineer at House of Blues and Tipitina’s, before relocating to Austin, where he held the same role at La Zona Rosa.
He was also the longtime Entertainment Director and Talent Buyer at his family’s restaurant, The Shed BBQ & Blues Joint, a renowned venue where he booked legends like Bobby Blue Bland, Percy Sledge, Pinetop Perkins, and Buddy Guy, and curated the ShedHed Blues Festival for over a decade.
As a FOH engineer, Brett has mixed for top-tier artists on tour including Jack White, Widespread Panic, The Black Angels and Leon Bridges and engineered landmark concerts such as Willie Nelson’s 90th Birthday at the Hollywood Bowl, John Lennon’s 75th celebration,, Dear Jerry: Celebrating the Music of Jerry Garcia, and The Life & Songs of Kris Kristofferson.
In the studio, Brett has over 226 album credits. As a film composer and mixer, he has 17 IMDb credits, including acclaimed films like "No No: A Dockumentary", "Indian 101", and projects featured on PBS, Showtime, and the Discovery Channel.

Samuel Wainwright Douglas is an award-winning documentary filmmaker based in Austin, Texas. For over two decades, his work has explored the American experience through stories rooted in social justice, creative communities, environmental conflict, and cultural memory. Known for his poetic visual style and investigative depth, Sam crafts films that are as emotionally resonant as they are visually striking.
His acclaimed films include Citizen Architect: Samuel Mockbee and the Spirit of the Rural Studio, Through the Repellent Fence, No No: A Dockumentary, Honky Tonk Heaven: The Legend of the Broken Spoke, and Faders Up: The John Aielli Experience. His work has premiered at major festivals including Sundance, SXSW, Hot Docs, and IDFA, and has aired nationally on platforms such as PBS and Showtime.
In 2024, Sam won the Audience Award for Best Music Film at SXSW for Faders Up, which he co-directed with longtime collaborator David Hartstein. He currently holds 26 IMDb credits as a director, editor, producer, and cinematographer, spanning feature documentaries, shorts, and television.
Samuel is also the co-founder of Blue Suitcase, a full-service production company specializing in documentary film, branded storytelling, and live event content. Through Blue Suitcase, he’s created work for clients like Apple, Indeed, PBS, and Discovery, bringing his narrative craft into new formats while staying rooted in authenticity and purpose.
In addition, he founded Spaceflight Television, a creative platform for original, music-driven content—including music videos and performance films—that reflect his cinematic approach to sound and story.
TIARA ALLEN / DIRECTOR OF COMMUNICATIONS
Tiara Allen is a creative professional and community leader based in the Austin area. As Marketing and Outreach Coordinator for the Pflugerville Public Library, she develops inclusive programs like Blue Career, a workforce development initiative, and Small Business Support, which connects entrepreneurs with vital local resources.
She also contributes to public radio as a writer for KUT and the Texas Standard, covering cultural topics such as women in sports broadcasting. An active volunteer with Future Front Texas, Tiara supports large-scale events and community gatherings, and represents the library at Maker Faire Austin.
Through her work in libraries, media, and the arts, Tiara champions community, culture, and creative expression throughout Central Texas.

Rick Pierik is the founder of Nine Mile Records, an independent label known for championing artist-first values and sustainable music careers. With over 20 years in the industry, he’s helped shape the paths of emerging and established artists alike, offering label services, distribution, and strategic development.
Based in Austin, Rick is also the talent buyer for Radio East and leads retail marketing and distribution for Spaceflight Records, bringing his expertise in audience engagement and physical sales to support local and independent musicians.
Blending creative insight with business acumen, Rick continues to push fair, forward-thinking models that let artists thrive on their own terms.
BRYAN RICHIE / DIRECTOR OF ARTIST RELATIONS
Bryan Richie is a multi-instrumentalist, producer, and audio engineer with over 20 years in rock, metal, and electronic music. As bassist and synth player for The Sword, he helped define the band’s heavy, riff-driven sound—recording and mixing their first two albums and touring globally.
He also leads Galactic Protector, his cinematic, synth-driven solo project, known for lush ambient textures and futuristic soundscapes.
In the studio, Bryan’s production and engineering work blends analog grit with digital precision, earning him a reputation for dynamic, immersive mixes across genres.
Based in Austin, Bryan serves as President of Music on Main, a nonprofit in Taylor, TX, championing live music and community access to the arts. Whether crafting records or supporting local talent, he remains committed to pushing boundaries in independent music.
DAN REDMAN / COMMUNITY OUTREACH
Dan Redman is an Austin‑based entrepreneur and creative‑ecosystem builder whose career bridges independent music and the premium wine world. He’s best known for founding Mosaic Sound Collective, a collaborative hub for artists, and Mosaic Wine Group, a boutique wine brokerage and distribution company. Across both ventures, his work centers on community, curation, and creating opportunities for artists, venues, and hospitality partners.
As Founder & CEO of Mosaic Sound Collective, Redman developed a multi‑discipline music campus in East Austin that offered rehearsal and recording studios, video production, coworking, vinyl services, and education programs. The space prioritized affordability, inclusion, and collaboration, functioning as an incubator and resource center for musicians and other creatives. Through Mosaic and partnerships with organizations like Spaceflight Records, he helped produce events, artist‑support programs, and shared infrastructure for Austin’s independent music community.
